HelpOrder and Payments

When will I be charged for the order?

Two steps are required for online payments via credit card and PayPal:

  1. Pre-authorisation: when you make an order, Geox asks your bank or payment-system operator to put a temporary hold on your credit card for the amount required to settle your order. The purpose of this pre-authorisation stage is partially to check the validity of your credit card or PayPal account and partially to ensure that there are sufficient funds to pay for the purchase. The order will be confirmed by Geox only if these requirements are met and at that stage the charge becomes operative. It should be clear that pre-authorisation is different from an actual charge. It simply puts a temporary hold on the funds.
  2. Charge: How long it takes for the charge to go through depends on your chosen method of payment. The amount will be charged to your method of payment as soon as the item is shipped. In the case of third-party payment providers, please consult the FAQs of the service in question.
