The air escapes through a breathing tape on the shoulders, combined with a special
waterproof, breathable membrane that allows the warm, humid air to exit while
keeping water out.
The membrane's micropores are smaller than water drops, but are larger than the water vapour molecules.
Sweat, in the form of water vapour, can pass through the membrane and out.
